About the CS+AO Project

This project is part of ESA's Scientific Data Exploitation Element activities, a component of the Earth Observation Envelope program (EOEP-5). This programme element responds to needs of the Earth Observation and Earth System science communities in terms of innovative methods, new products, open science tools and new Earth science results.

The objectives of the Cryosat+ AO project will be achieved through the work contained within seven work packages (WPs). WP consolidates the scientific requirements. WP2 is concerned with reviewing the available data, methods and study areas and collecting all the necessary data. WPs 3 and 4 involves the development and validation of along-track and gridded products, respectively. Following development of the methodologies, WP5 is concerned with demonstrating them using a prototype product and also with assessing the potential impact of the products. Finally, WP6 is concerned with writing the Scientific Roadmap which will outline potential avenues for future research and operational activities. WP 7 is concerned with project management, and communication and promotion of the results of the project.
